Oh I love all this! It isn’t a paint colour I’d necessarily choose, but I think it works well. What I really love, though, is the glass light, the wooden dining table, the white Eames chairs, and the white sideboards.

I do not like the stripy wall, or the cushions, but I really like this mirror, the pendant lamps, and the big plant in the terracotta pot.

I really love the yellow lower cabinets with the white ones above. Pretty hanging coloured bulbs too.

I really like the look here, with the huge frameless mirror resting on the floor, and the string of lights in the plant. Now, with my plant-destroying history I’d have to make sure I used a particularly hardy one, but I like to think that I’d be committed to its wellbeing if it looked this good.
Also seen here is a cowhide. I always think they look great in pictures like this, but then off I go to IKEA where I touch them, and think about what it actually is - even though sheepskin and leather and snakeskin don’t freak me out - and subsequently go right off the idea.
Sad, really. They look great.

For some time now, I have been pretty obsessed with the Ahern sisters, Abigail and Gemma.
Abigail has a lighting shop Atelier Abigail Ahern which has a menagerie of animal lamps like the one seen here.
Just as stunning though, are their own homes, which you can check out here (Abigail) and here (Gemma).
I love their use of grey walls with pops of colour throughout. That, and the fact they use the best wallpaper ever, not too coincidentally designed by Abigail too.
Oh, owl light, I love you so.
Any generous friends thinking as far ahead as my birthday - this is IT.

Loads I like in this one. There’s those up-off-the-table bedside lamps I’ve mentioned before on this blog. I also love the mismatched bedcovers, the chair, and the little flower painting. I absolutely love little flower paintings.
Nice handbag too!

Oooh grey and yellow! Oooh nice bedside lamps!
The rest… bit too white for me.

This is so cool. A library flipped on its side via optical illusions including pendant lighting sticking out from the wall, and floor tiles with books on.
D’Espresso Madison Avenue (at 42nd) have done an amazing job with this.
Love it, and want to go here when in NYC next year!

I really, really love coloured flex for lamps.
I love red, black and white together and I think it works brilliantly here. I particularly like the lights.

I really like these perspex chairs. I also like the wall colour and the fridge. And what a chandelier!

So much here that I like.
Brilliant clock, grouped light feature, exposed bricks, big nice TV (something I think I want more than I’m really prepared to admit!)

STUNNING. Energy efficient lighting.

I love these bedside lamps! I always have so much junk on my bedside table, it would be great to have the lamp up on the wall, clearing some space.
