I do not like the stripy wall, or the cushions, but I really like this mirror, the pendant lamps, and the big plant in the terracotta pot.

I absolutely love mirrors, in particular art deco ones.
Whilst this may be a bit much (I don’t actually think so), you get the idea. Lots and lots of mirrors together looks GREAT.

Lots of my favourites on display here!
Farrow & Ball Dix Blue? Check. Habitat flip clock? Check. Painted chairs? Check. Floral armchair? Check. Metro tiles? Check. Little flower paintings? Check. Ermm… can I move in please, Fiona Douglas?

Not too keen on this fire, BUT love this candle holder! The glow behind the windows is wonderful, and it looks fantastic alongside the New York lamppost screen print and of course the Orla Kiely cushion nestled nearby. Sad news is, it’s only available in Sweden.

Mmm… dark grey wall and I really like hanging pictures closely packed together like this.

Loads I like in this one. There’s those up-off-the-table bedside lamps I’ve mentioned before on this blog. I also love the mismatched bedcovers, the chair, and the little flower painting. I absolutely love little flower paintings.
Nice handbag too!

This is the toilet belonging to Supermarket Sarah.
I first heard of her site when Damon Albarn bought something from her. She displays all sorts of crafts, antiques, second-hand goods and vintage clothes around her home, photographs it, puts it on her website and it’s all for sale!
Anyway, I like this idea of lots and lots of pictures in the wee room.

Oh, my! A calendar, painted on the wall using blackboard paint so you can just go ahead and write on it it with chalk and stick brightly coloured post its on it???
FANTASTIC!
** EDIT: Just thought, not so handy for planning anything the following months…

This is a clever idea for using up small wallpaper samples (which I have loads of).
Apparently the frames here cost 10c?? Envy! I never find anything that cheap.

What a smart idea! I have lots of lovely cards and bits of fabric, and think I could probably put this together fairly easily. Now to find an old mirror or picture frame…

A collection of found photos.
I love how they’ve been pinned up, and think this could work really well. Just not sure which room in the house would suit it best…

Would this become too much after a while? I think perhaps so. But, there is something really lovely about using a beautiful photo of a happy day in this way.
(Nice Eames chair too of course).

This is so cool. A library flipped on its side via optical illusions including pendant lighting sticking out from the wall, and floor tiles with books on.
D’Espresso Madison Avenue (at 42nd) have done an amazing job with this.
Love it, and want to go here when in NYC next year!

Putting these pretty plates in a random layout is a great idea for this small space.

These crates feature in so many magazines, but I’ve found they’re quite hard to find (and expensive when you do!) in reality.
If I do go for it, I really like this idea of doing a backing with some nice wallpaper to display some pretty items.
